Timberlane (aka Evergreen) is a modern 20-unit, two-story development designated for persons with developmental disabilities. Timber Drive in Rhinelander is a residential neighborhood which often feels like a forest, because of all the trees. Evergreen Apartments is strategically located between more outlying retail outlets on the periphery and downtown Rhinelander. Within a small radius from the Apartments are Headwaters (a sheltered workshop), the YMCA, big box and smaller retail establishments, a full-service hospital/clinic, houses of worship and downtown Rhinelander proper — which has all the amenities one would expect in a bustling small city.
The Timberlane facility includes a full array of standard apartment features, with a well-appointed community room and an attractive campus. Three apartments are handicapped accessible, complete with roll-in shower stalls.
CCB Housing Management provides Tenant Service Coordinators to work with tenants at no cost to them. Coordinators work to link tenants to services in their community which can assist them in maintaining their independence by: developing educational programs for tenants with a focus on wellness and independence; promoting awareness by tenants and families of entitlement and benefit programs available; obtaining information regarding equipment and assistive devices; providing referrals to home healthcare and home-care agencies; and providing problem-solving assistance and advocacy where needed.
