Crandon is a progressive rural community located 30 minutes east of Rhinelander. Fishing, boating, hunting and hiking are just some of the recreational activities in the area. Acorn Apartments - Minong, WI
Acorn Apartments is situated a block from a main east-west highway, yet feels secluded on its large, green campus lined by trees. Acorn has 11 one-bedroom and 1 two-bedroom units, along with a comfortable, totally furnished community room with its own kitchen.
Centennial Apartments - Medford, WI
Centennial Apartments has forty-eight, 2-bedroom apartments on two levels above a full basement under each building, with outside parking and 40 garages available for rent. The complex has ample outdoor space on site: communal vegetable gardens; a beautiful, hand-hewn gazebo; flower gardens, picnic area and tree-filled green space.
Evergreen Apartments - Chetek, WI
A cul-de-sac leads to this quiet, modern apartment complex. The two-story Evergreen Apartment has individual patios on the lower level and balconies on the upper. The complex is situated on a large green, tree-studded campus within easy reach of the Chetek commercial district, as well as houses of worship, a public library and other amenities.
Evergreen Apartments - Shell Lake, WI

Gateway Pines Apartments – Land O’ Lakes, WI
Occupancy is limited to households in which the head or spouse is at least 62 years of age or has a qualifying disability. Gateway Pines Apartments nestles among the pines in the beautiful northern Wisconsin landscape and small-town friendliness of Land O’ Lakes, a “four seasons” community with a wide selection of outdoor activity options. Besides the great outdoors, Land O’ Lakes has an active historical society, library, an art gallery, and a variety of shops. There is a full-service pharmacy and a number of churches in the area. Easy access to Eagle River and Watersmeet, Michigan adds to the area’s attractiveness.
Lilac Grove Apartments, Siren, WI
Occupancy is limited to households in which the head or spouse is at least 62 years of age. In response to the 2001 tornado, which destroyed numerous residential and commercial buildings, CCB Housing Management was successful in securing U.S. government and other support to build Lilac Grove, completed in July of 2008. This new and well-appointed building has 14 one-bedroom apartments, a community room with a kitchen and vaulted ceilings and a four-season porch which serves as another communal area for reading, playing games and just relaxing. Built- in emergency response and visitor entry systems make Lilac Grove state-of-the art for security and convenience.
Main Creek Villa – Conrath, WI
For those seeking affordable, modern and quiet country living, Main Creek Villa fits that definition to a T. The Villa has eight one-bedroom apartments in a beautifully designed and situated building. Within walking distance are a community grocery store, a post office, a library and the town hall.
Maywood Apartments - Plover, WI
Occupancy is limited to households in which the head or spouse is at least 62 years of age Maywood has a large campus with a green area in front and a privacy fence in the back. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood just a couple blocks from a main street with commercial venues of all types. Just to the north is the Plover River, with a large lake, and just beyond that is the city of Stevens Point, with the Wisconsin River at its heart, besides a large square, farmers markets and much, much more.
Northwoods Village Apartments – Phelps, WI
Occupancy is limited to households in which the head or spouse is at least 62 years of age. Northwoods Village (aka Northwoods I) Apartments sits atop a hill within walking distance of the blue expanse of North Twin Lake, one of a number of pristine bodies of water in the Phelps area. Phelps offers many small-town amenities, including churches, a museum, restaurants, a convenience store and even a women’s club. Elmwood Apartments - Superior, WI
Elmwood is a modern, one-story building located on the Phoenix Villa campus. It is within easy distance of the amenities Superior has to offer: supermarkets, houses of worship, clinics and a hospital, big-box and smaller retail outlets, a public library and university, a technical college, and public transport. Besides all that, Phoenix Villa is just blocks away from beautiful Lake Superior, including the shipping center of the Twin Ports of Superior and Duluth, a marina, and all the lake-based attractions you could want!
Northfield Apartments - Duluth, MN
Northfield consists of 9 one-bedroom and 3 two-bedroom apartments housed in a modern one-story building in West Duluth. West Superior Street, which runs past Northfield, is a main north-south artery with a number of retail outlets, supermarkets, restaurants, and other commercial properties.

The large campus at Acorn is accentuated by a deep offset from the street, where evergreens and other trees grow. A small garden area has recently been developed. Recent renovations include a new roof, new siding and windows, along with a large screen porch for mosquito-free spring, summer and fall enjoyment. With only an alley behind the building, this low-traffic setting may be just what the doctor ordered. Nevertheless, Acorn Apartments is located just a few blocks from commercial and public amenities which facilitate easy access to the necessities of life.

This facility is also known as Lakewood Apartments. It is a smallish, modern building designed to house independently living people who have developmental disabilities. With only 5 apartments, residents enjoy a quiet, homey atmosphere, where friendships have been strong and longlasting. Some residents of Lakewood work at an affiliate agency, Diversified Services, Inc. in Siren.
Maywood Apartments - Medford, WI
Maywood Apartments is a 6-unit, modern one-story building, designed for persons with disabilities who desire independent living. Maywood Apartments is located in a newer residential area, only blocks from a public library, a park and the River Walk along the Black River. Maywood is also just a few blocks in the other direction from shopping, restaurants, banking, a pharmacy and places of worship.
Timberlane Apartments - Rhinelander, WI
Timberlane (aka Evergreen) is a modern 20-unit, two-story development designated for persons with developmental disabilities. Timber Drive in Rhinelander is a residential neighborhood which often feels like a forest, because of all the trees. Evergreen Apartments is strategically located between more outlying retail outlets on the periphery and downtown Rhinelander.

Apple River Apartments - Amery, WI
The Apple River flows nearby, creating an iconic environment for Apple River Apartments. This facility is designed to provide comfortable and secure housing for people with chronic mental illness who are able to live relatively independently. Apple River was built on a smaller scale – eight 1-bedroom apartments — to more closely match the standard in the progressive rural community of Amery.
Blue Valley Apartments - Rice Lake, WI
Blue Valley Apartments is located in a newly developed residential area which a few short years ago was farm fields. In fact, right next door are the remnants of an old farmstead. The farm is gone but the old farmhouse (still occupied) provides a glimpse into the past. Blue Valley Apartments itself has been designed to house people with chronic mental illness. This 8 single-bedroom unit building eliminates much of the commotion of larger buildings, making it more homey and trouble-free for residents.
Oakwood Apartments - Superior, WI
This one-story building in a quiet neighborhood provides its residents with a secure environment and ready access to downtown Superior amenities including restaurants, retail outlets, the public library, a supermarket, a museum/historical society and houses of worship.
Phoenix Villa Apartments - Hayward, WI
The complex sits on a quiet site at the terminus of a dead-end street. The ample campus has a nice lawn, areas with natural grasses and woodlands. Just adjacent is a public walking trail and a pond. All this provides a variety of opportunities to picnic, hike or just plain relax.
Phoenix Villa North Apartments - Rice Lake, WI
Set back off Wisconsin Avenue, Phoenix Villa North is a tranquil, secure place to call home. The building is set on a very nice campus with a huge back yard suitable for croquet, badminton, even softball (but don’t lose the ball in the woods off to the back!). Also in back is a cement slab patio with furniture, a grill and all the ambiance for a great cookout. Inside, Phoenix Villa North has a well-appointed community room and other amenities.
Sumac Trail Apartments Rhinelander, WI
Occupancy is limited to persons with chronic mental illness who are able to live in relative independence. Sumac Trail is a newer development, its size and location designed to provide the tranquil, uncluttered environment conducive to well-being. The neighborhood in which the building is located is a strictly residential and Sumac Trail has a wooded backyard frequented by a variety of wildlife, including, yes, deer and raccoons.
West Bay Apartments - Superior, WI
This facility is designed to provide comfortable and secure housing for people with chronic mental illness who are able to live relatively independently. Westbay sits alongside Oakwood Apartments in a quiet neighborhood that provides its residents with a secure environment and ready access to downtown Superior amenities. Westbay is just blocks from the Port of Superior and Lake Superior, offering vistas of the beautiful lake and the comings and goings of both “lakers” and “salties”, the former boats which operate only on the Great Lakes and the latter ships that may come from any part of the world.

Eastwood Apartments is located at the end of a quiet, dead-end street, giving it the feeling of seclusion. The Eastwood campus has ample space for quiet relaxation. However, Eastwood is only a few blocks in one direction from shopping, restaurants, banking, and a pharmacy and a few blocks in the opposite direction from a public library, a park and the River Walk along the Black River.
